David Libby (Conductor) has been Musical Director for productions featuring Rachel York, Rex Smith, and Joyce DeWitt. He played keyboards for the first national tour of the Broadway revival of Kiss Me Kate in 2002, and was Musical Director for the Acting Studio’s 2003 production of Landscape of the Body in New York City, where he resides. He works regularly in Manhattan as an audition and rehearsal pianist, and has composed musical soundtracks for several documentaries. As a jazz pianist, he has performed with reknowned jazz artists Bobby Watson, Mickey Roker, Sam Newsome, and Brad Terry. He received his BA in music from Bowdoin College, and his MM in Jazz Studies from Rutgers University, where he was Teaching Assistant to jazz piano legend Kenny Barron.
